Against a backdrop of geopolitical fragmentation and rapid technological change, the DIGITAL SME summit will bring together policymakers, innovative SMEs and industry leaders on 16 November 2026 at the European Economic and Social Committee in Brussels to address a key question: how can Europe make homegrown digital solutions the default choice and help European companies scale globally?
Building on the milestones of last year’s summit – including the launch of the Tech Sovereignty Catalogue and the “Software Made in Europe” and “Software Hosted in Europe” labels – the 2026 edition shifts the focus from identifying Europe’s technological capabilities to strengthening the market power of sovereign solutions through public procurement, private sector adoption, and investments.
